I am not sure how it happened, honestly. I have been a mommy for 15 years, I have watched three other children sail through babyhood and become little people and yet, I was taken completely by surprise when my fourth baby made the transition. She is so grown up! I feel like it was just yesterday that Brian and I were sitting in my office, in shock that we would be welcoming a little one into our family yet again. And now, I cannot for a second imagine life without her.
Lydia is a very special little person. She has an infectious personality. Since she was brand-new she has been turning heads out in the world and making friends with people everywhere she goes. She loves everyone and shows it without reservations. She is truly adorable and I am so happy she is mine!
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
We ran out one day after work with Lydia and her baby buggy. There is not much for green spaces in San Jose, but there is this random open field near our house that somehow has evaded development. It looks like we are on some farm in the country, but really, its right in the heart of the city. I love spaces like this. Lydia had a blast. It was her “high” for the day. At least one of my kids still likes my camera!

gorgeous. she’s so three ~ love the joy in her run!
my baby is growing up!
Oh, Anna. She is beautiful. What perfect three year images! I adore her braids and remember vividly my mom braiding my blondie hair as a child. Makes me smile.
